Attune is a calm, audio-first listening app designed to help people discover short-form audio matched to what they are looking for in the moment.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Attune does not require an account to use the app during initial release.
We may collect:
App usage information, such as sessions started, clips played, clips completed, clips saved, outcomes selected, and app screens viewed.
Listening activity, such as your selected context, selected outcome, session length, listening history, saved clips, and recently played clips.
Feedback you choose to submit, including the text you write, whether content matched what you wanted, and optional contact information if you provide it.
Device and diagnostic information, such as app version, device type, crash information, and performance data.
Optional profile information, such as your name and email address, if you choose to provide it.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or payment information.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Provide and improve the Attune listening experience.
Recommend and organize audio content.
Save listening history, saved clips, and session information.
Understand what content is useful or not useful.
Review initial release feedback.
Fix bugs, improve performance, and make the app more reliable.
We may use automated systems, transcript information, and machine learning models to organize, classify, recommend, and surface relevant spoken-word content.
3. Analytics and Backend Providers
Attune uses third-party services to operate and improve the app:
Supabase: used to store product data such as feedback, initial release profile information, session activity, saved clips, listening events, and user preferences.
PostHog: used for product analytics, such as understanding app usage and feature performance. Analytics may include device and usage information.
We do not use this data for third-party advertising or to sell personal information.
4. Anonymous Use
Attune can be used without creating an account. During initial release, user activity may be associated with an anonymous device or app identifier so the app can function and improve over time.
If account features are added later, this policy will be updated.
5. Feedback
If you submit feedback in the app, we store the feedback text and related context, such as the screen you submitted it from and the content outcome associated with your session. If you include your name or email, we may use it to follow up with you.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate Attune, such as hosting, analytics, and database providers. These providers process data on our behalf.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of Attune, our users, or others.
7. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to operate, improve, and support Attune, unless a longer retention period is required by law or legitimate business purposes. Initial release feedback and analytics may be retained to understand product quality and improve the app.
You may request deletion of feedback or personal information you provided by contacting us.
8. Your Choices
You may:
Use Attune without creating an account.
Choose not to submit feedback.
Avoid entering contact information in feedback.
Request deletion of information you submitted.
9. Children’s Privacy
Attune is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. 10. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Attune changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and make reasonable efforts to notify you through the app or by email if you have provided one.
